Tribute to Teddy Wilson - Bruce Gourlay, piano; Alex Hutchinson, clarinet; Geoff Kluke, bass; David May, drums.
Come along and listen to the magical piano playing of Bruce Gourlay, with his selection of top Melbourne musicians including Alex Hutchinson, as they present a tribute to the famous Teddy Wilson who is renowned not only in his own right, but as pianist
for Benny Goodman. Great tunes from the 30s and 40s.

Pippa Wilson - There’s no need to introduce Pippa Wilson to the VJC: she’s been a crowd drawer for the club for almost as long as we’ve been in existence. One of Australia’s leading jazz singers, Pippa’s incredible voice, vitality and warmth connect
immediately with an audience. These, combined with the support of a great band, add up to an un-missable entertainment
package. Book early to be sure of a seat!

Mood Swing - Jim Brannon, clarinet, saxophone, ukulele, vocals; Pip Avent, tuba, bass guitar, vocals, ldr; Myles White, guitar; Justin Marshal, percussion.
Moodswing is a central Victorian jazz/blues ensemble, playing and singing jazz standards and tunes from the 30s and 40s. Led by tuba-wizard Pip Avent, this is a group of well-seasoned musicians who promise a night of great music and great
fun. (And no, that’s not a tuba that Pip’s playing!)

Entry: VJC Members $10. per head (reciprocal rights offered to other Jazz Club members) Non-Members $15 per head.
